After graduating from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington in 2014, I went on to play quarterback at the University of Idaho. I then transferred to Ventura Community College in California where I set all major career passing records at the school in just one season. In 2017, I transferred to Oregon State University, where I was a 3 year starter. I finished my total college career with 9,161 yards passing, 83 passing TD's, and 30 Interceptions. I was twice named PAC-12 Offensive Player of the Week, College Football Playoff Associations National Player of the Week, Mayo Clinics Comeback Player of the Year in 2019, and an All PAC-12 Honorable Mention.
In 2020, I was drafted in the 6th Round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where I would start 3 games as a rookie. Over the course of my 5 year career, I've played for the Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Las Vegas Raiders. I've had the honor to play for great and legendary coaches such as: Pete Carroll, Ben McAdoo, Jay Gruden, Doug Pedersen, Frank Reich, Urban Meyer, Darrell Bevell, Brian Schottenheimer, Brian Flores, Dave Canales, Norv Turner, Paul Petrino, Gary Andersen, Mike Riley, Jonathan Smith, Brian Lindgren, Jon Boyer, Brandon Carson, Bill Hodgins, Scott Stokes, and many others.
Having played for 14 different head coaches over my high school, collegiate, and professional career, I have been exposed to every kind of scheme and coaching style out there. My experience and relationships with former coaches and players are what sets me apart, and what will help your young quarterback learn what it takes to make it to the next level.
Quarterback ACADEMY
As a private quarterback coach with 5 years of NFL playing experience, I am dedicated to helping youth, high school, and college quarterbacks reach their full potential.
My training programs are designed to enhance skills, build confidence, and develop a deep understanding of the game tailored to each player's specific needs and goals.
While we will work hard, train at the highest level, and expect outstanding results, we will always adhere to my grandparents #1 Rule: HAVE FUN. We will enjoy the process of hard work and competition. My goal is to help mold a new generation of quarterbacks that love and respect the game of football, and I can't wait for you to be a part of it.
MY MENTORS
Over the years, I have had several great private QB coaches and mentors of my own, most notably Denny Thompson, Taylor Barton, Bill Hodgins, Mike Sheppard, and John Charles.
I think it's important to note them all, because they each helped me immensely in my football career, some at different stages than others, but all vital in their own right. Without Barton, I likely never would have realized my dreams of playing on Sundays were actually a realistic possibility. I came to him a young kid who could throw a ball, and walked away knowing how to play quarterback. Charles helped in a similar way in my transition from high school to college, preparing me for what it was going to take to be a starter in the PAC12. Hodgins taught me toughness and a lot about the mental side of what it meant to be a leader, both in words and in actions. Sheppard stepped in during my pre-draft process and curated an amazing Pro Day that boosted my draft stock, and prepared me for what life was going to look like stepping into an NFL QB room. I met Thompson during my rookie year in Jacksonville, and he opened my eyes to a whole new world of quarterback-ing. After my rookie season, we essentially reconstructed all of my mechanics. He helped me transition from an over-the-top, "baseball pitcher" style thrower, to a balanced, rotational, accurate quarterback that understood how to efficiently generate power without sacrificing consistency.
My point in mentioning each of them, is first of all, a salute and thank you to them for all they did for me over the course of my career. Secondly, it's to tell you, my prospective clients, that my goal is to provide each of these attributes I learned from my mentors, to you, all in one spot.
